  1. Its funny really. The show depicts a psychopath so well. The fact that people fell sad and sorry for norma means that they really understand what a psychopath is. Norma was a psycho like her son. She constantly dwelled on others self pity and the reason(not only reason) she didnt think her son was dangerous was because she was so much like him. She lived off of envy and pity from others. Using her life experiences to gain sympathy. She constantly coddled and manipulated norman to the point to where he actually believed and followed everything she said. I AM NOT saying she is evil. When many people think psychopath they think evil monsters or serial killers. She is in a way a tolerable person. But her way of surviving made her a psychopath. Instead of teaching norman to adapt to the world. She turned him against it. Instead of seeking medical help for him earlier she blocked out the consideration that he might actually be dangerous. And this ladies and gentleman. Is one of many things that make a psychopath

  2. Does anyone get the reference "first you dream then you die" literally the title of the first episode, they were foreshadowing this whole time because Norma dies in her sleep. Coincidence I think not😳

  3. Seeing Alex break down sobbing when he was just coming to terms with his love for Norma was THE hardest thing to watch in all 4 seasons. Spectacular acting, and it's no wonder why each season got better reviews than the last, leading up to this moment. I cannot WAIT for season 5 now to see what happens between Norman and Alex.

  4. And now I'm depressed, sad, in shock, and all the above lol…seriously I can't handle this >.< it was so sad…I even watched psycho so I knew it had to happen but wow I didn't think it would be so soon argh this sucks…can't wait for season five but wow I'll miss you Norma (Vera was amazing and will be in season five as well!) dang you Norman why did you have to do this!!! This show is so underrated it's amazing…crying

  5. Its my first time to cry over a tv show and get so much heart broken 💔 she suffered a lot and had a miserable messed up life and she couldn't even be happy I couldn't move on to the next episode after this just too much feelings for norma this literally shocked me she deserved happiness 💔😔

  6. Still cant believe she's gone …. i just really don't want to believe it .. and yes , i know that she dies anyways .. because its based on Psycho … but still ! …. She was finally happy , she has Alex .. she felt what true love was really like …… i cant … my feels …. my heart is broken into a million pieces …. gonna go , cry in a corner now 🙁

  7. I loved Norma. She was so broken, but one tough cookie. Norman was her Achilles heel. I wonder if they are going to go the full Psycho route and have Norman stuff her body. He's so warped and twisted, but unfortunately part of his problem was Norma.

  8. I knew it. Halfway through season 4, I was like: Normero happens, Dylan and Emma's relationship grows, somebody (Dr Edwards) finally knows what's the real deal with Norman, a lot of really great things are happening… it's too odd. This is not the usual, messed up Bates Motel I've been watching all this time. So I thought that there must be something really horrible coming up… and I was right. In fact, this is the worst thing that's ever happened so far. Dang it, writers. Why y'all gotta do this?

  9. Love how they play Mr Sandman song at the end when he lights the furnace making the scene that more exhilarating love this ep, to bad for Norma though… RIP

  10. Norman is not a monster. He is just mentally ill. He just wanted to end his mothers pain. He can't live without her, that's why he tried to kill himself.

  11. Norma was sick for not providing proper help for her sick psycho son, a lot of people died because she was too selfish to see how bad he was, she babied him too much.

  12. I wanted to cry because she died but I couldn't WHY DIDNT THEY MAKE IT SADDER OR SOMETHING I LOVED HER but shouldn't show my emotions and I'm like a huge cry baby

  13. Do you KNOW the original story of PSYCHO, the first movie? Do you know what happened to Norma in Psycho??? Do you know why Norman has been seen with his taxidermy stuff in the last episode?????? Hmmmmmm????> Well, DO YOU??????

  14. If Norma does die, that would be such a tragedy. She left her relationships with the other two people who genuinely care for her into broken pieces with that horrible breakup with Alex and that final argument with Dylan. Norma is too broken to un-cling from Norman – they are a part of one entity and that's the most tragic fact.

  15. I don't think Alex will let the rest of the police believe that Norma "killed herself" and Norman with her from her "suicide note". He'll know that Norman tried to kill himself along with her and that the "suicide note" is simply a letter Norma wrote apologizing and breaking up with Alex. I think Alex will know the truth and he'll have to fight for it!
