10. Kids are supposed to be in school to learn reading, writing and arithmetic regardless of who you are. Why does any flag besides the American flag have the right or need to be in a classroom? The American flag represents Everyone no matter your race, gender, Sexual orientation or religion. The rainbow flag does not represent everyone and is therefore a non inclusive symbol that has no place in schools or next to the all inclusive American flag which represents all of us! 🇺🇸

14. Is that a public school?? Because even if they are political symbols, that should be protected by the first amendment. I remember a Supreme Court case from the Vietnam war where a school banned students from wearing black arm bands, which was a symbol of anti-war sentiment. But the Supreme Court ruled that was protected under the first amendment because it didn’t disrupt the class. The school not allowing it would be a government institution limiting the political speech of citizens, which is in many ways the most important part of the first amendment.
