  1. He pulled the trigger. It is virtually impossible for that type of gun to fire without pulling the trigger. They’ll have to pay a fortune to find a real gun expert to get on the stand and say that it “might” have just gone off on it’s own. What an idiot. The only people that believe him are his equally stupid Hollywood buddies, and maybe some CNN and MSNBC “reporters”.

  2. No offense to all the Americans, but for a nation of gun owners, you all seem to have very little understanding of how guns actually work. A half cocked hammer that is just let go and not eased gently back into position will still hit the primer at the back of a bullet with enough force to ignite it. This is not that hard to understand.

  3. This is just weird. The only guns allowed on the set are supposed to be "prop" guns. Prop guns are chambered in such a way that they do not accept live ammunition. They fire blank rounds and only blank rounds. No caliber of live ammunition can be inserted into the firing chamber. This would most certainly fall under industry regulations as well as OSHA regulations. The question that should be asked is how an illegal firearm made it on the set in the first place. And how such weapon was chambered with a live round. Lastly, it seems more than just random chance that the shot made such a dedicated target of two crew members, killing one and seriously wounding the other.

  4. She was a sacrifice to push for anti gun laws I wonder if she even knows that or if they decided without her approval anyways it’s obvious what they’re wanting to do here. “Dur dur, gun shoot by self, it bad, must ban”.

  5. Yeah, this is the insurance attorney talking BS. Blame the victim. Stoooopid! Take responsibility. The ammunition should not have been on the set and should not have been in the weapon.. That is the beginning and the end to it. Trigger, etc is irrelevant. The trail of the bullet is the case.

  6. If this was an actual news station they would at some point discuss the way the round entered this poor woman's body and caused her to bleed to death rather than starting each segment with a "poor Alec one in a trillion accident" speech

  7. Guns don't kill people, criminals illegally possessing guns do. Triggers don't pull themselves, anti-gun, uninformed, liberal morons who don't know the first thing about gun safety….do.

  8. some incredible observation skills here with 'his finger was never on the trigger' these people with photographic memories need to be working for the CIA, amazing recollections and so very definite about it too!

  9. It doesn’t matter whether Baldwin pulled the trigger or not he is not culpable or criminally responsible for what happened. This is on the production company somehow live rounds found their way onto the set. He was given a prop or so he thought to act in a scene period. Leave that man alone

  10. He produced a movie that used a single action revolver, which would, 100% require the hammer to manually be 'cocked' before the trigger would even function to fire a round (blanks or live), so… Either he was handed a cocked pistol (with hammer already pulled back) and it 'accidentally' discharged while he was aiming at a person OR he manually cocked it, aimed it at someone and then pulled the trigger… One of these is significantly more likely to have occurred than the other…

  11. The lawyer knows it's his only (poor) defense, when in reality there is none. He can't admit his client is an arrogant, ignorant, and liable, fool. It's an utterly pathetic defense. He would have been better off using the public defender's office. So it's NOBODY'S fault, eh? Great argument, counselor.

  12. What about heavy duty movie actions like Mission Impossible or Fast and Furious? What if an actor gets in a car in which the brakes fail and he ends up running down several crew members and kills them? Should the actor have inspected the car for every possible mechanical issue to make sure it was safe for him to drive? No. That's why movie productions hire safety experts. In this case, the safety crew didn't do their job properly and it resulted in a fatality. That is not the actor's fault. And if George Clooney follows a different protocol, good for him. But he shouldn't pass judgement by contributing his egomaniacal comments which don't resolve this tragedy now. Alec will have to live with this accident for the rest of his life although it was not his fault. That's enough for him to carry, and it's only because someone else didn't do the job they were hired to do.

  13. This is the propaganda machine at work. ANYONE who handles a gun is responsible to check it to be sure it is safe and NEVER point it at anyone unless it is your intention to shoot them. He knew that he failed he shot and.killed someone and needs to be responsible. Talk about his family? Let us please recall that there is a mother and wife here who is now deceased. Shame on George Stephanopoulos for being a part of this cover up attempt. Hope and pray for everyone to see the light and do the right things for everyone not just themselves. My opinion

  14. To the leftists and Corporatist Democrats (Revolutionary Communists know how firearms work typically) Alec is outright lying aka acting in my opinion and your lack of knowledge on firearm mechanics is what he's counting on.
He used a SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER .45 Long Colt. Simply squeezing the trigger will do nothing. The way it works is in order for the revolver to fire, the hammer must be manually cocked to the rear open position, only then will it fire once trigger is squeezed. He broke the very core basics of firearm safety: he treated it as if it was unloaded, he pointed the barrel at something he did not wish to destroy, and he cocked the hammer and put his finger on the trigger. For any firearms owners, this is the first basic core rules they learn not to do. He pointed the SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER .45 Long Colt at the camera/crew, cocked the hammer and squeezed the trigger not checking the cylinder (which a single action and double action revolvers are the easiest pistols to check if loaded) and a .45 Long Colt projectile fired killing 1 woman and injuring 1 man. He's contradicting how this particular firearm functions mechanically. It's also been reported the scene didn't call for this during rehearsal. I do not believe he intended to do this, but he did do this. He is a producer of Rust, it's been reported to save money they replaced some of the crew with locals to save money. The film firearms armorer was inexperienced and deserves blame as well. That said, him making this about him maybe the lowest response possible to this and talking to a Clinton press secretary/ABC anchor who knows nothing about firearms and safety, nor bringing on a firearms expert to hold Alec's feet to the fire, this is a controlled defense on public opinion. He's going to blame anyone and anything BUT himself, In his mind he bears 0 responsibility for this. If he was a civilian, he'd already be charged with minimal with wanton endangerment or Manslaughter. He wants to blame ONLY the armorer, AD, the firearm itself. Firearms depending on type function and malfunction very specific ways, and what he just said Single Action Revolvers do not malfunction this way. That said, Firearm are not sentient beings and require human intervention to function or malfunction. I doubt anyone who's backing him will listen and believe his firearm is sentient being and hates me, or a spooky ghost cocked the hammer and squeezed the trigger and that's simply not reality I'm sorry. He did this, neglecting the rules of firearm safety and a woman is dead because of it. And that's the part that really gets under my skin. He's saying he's not a victim, while saying he's the victim. Her name was Helena Hutchinson who came here from Soviet Union Ukraine. This is the victim, and the director but he'll live.

Baldwin is an actor by trade for decades, which can be summed up as a liar as a trade to entertain others. Pretend if you believe lie is too harsh. He's trying to get ahead in public opinion for incoming lawsuits because it's the ONLY accountability he'll face. I found your privilege here folks, but it's not because he's hwite. It's because he's a Hollywood veteran actor and a public activist for the establishment Corporatist Democrat Party And ironically a gun control advocate. Too bad it wasn't an ArmaLite-15 Rifle we call AR-15, or a 30 round capacity magazine. Many gun control advocates believe AR stands for Automatic Rifle-15 or Assault Rifle-15 and no I'm sorry. Doesn't mean that. If it was an ArmaLite-15 Rifle in .223 Remington/5.56×45mm NATO in a 30 round capacity magazine, we all know what he'd be saying. As it is, this happened with one of the only few firearms most gun control activists is ok with private citizens owning, which is a 19th Century SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER in .45 Long Colt caliber cartridge I'm assuming a Colt Peacemaker or Colt Single Action Army.

He's acting. "You can't out act me boy, don't even try." -Alec, Team America: World Police.

There is plenty of YT videos for any individual to watch explaining a single action revolver history, design, function and malfunctions for you to check, don't take my word for it, fact check me. It's my opinion he's lying and will take 0 responsibility for his dismissal of the most basic form of firearms safety. He should pay and face the same charges anyone else would face under identical circumstances who's name is Alec Baldwin. And Walt Disney's ABC news is shameful not pushing back a millimeter worth or juxtaposing his claims with a firearms expert armorer or gunsmith. They protect their own, nobody else gets this kind of treatment. Alec shamelessly makes this about Alec Baldwin. The victim is Helena Hutchinson, and the fact her husband has a cold lonely bed tonight, nor her children will have the blessing of having their mother smile and take photos of her children ripping into Christmas gifts in 22 days. I do not care how Alec feels beyond paying that family out millions of dollars, nor do I person know a single individual (especially with basic firearms knowledge) who disagrees with me. Get back to your hole Alec and await your incoming lawsuits, along with your discount armorer and if there is any justice you will both be charged and face a trial of your peers.

All I can say is, I feel awful for the Hutchinson family, my first motherless Christmas sucked. So keep your chins up Hutchinson Family, it's all you can do beyond this man transferring his wealth to her widowed husband.

  15. Yes Baldwin did not pull the trigger
The gun is haunted.the particular gun
Has a history of hidden un solved murder..and it will shoot on its own
I don't know how to defend this man
Contact me and if it's Baldwin please contact
Me I will explain to you how haunted guns are pulled triggers by ghosts of unsolved
Murdered.who scream for their lives taken away unjustly.

  16. it’s almost like they don’t know how guns function… well isn’t that why they’re in this situation in the first place… also if he somehow really didn’t pull the trigger i think that detail would’ve come out a lot sooner
