  1. Heart breaking when she says "my whole body was shaking and I couldn't really dial 911".. but she did!! SHE MANAGED TO CALL 911!! Even in that fear! She knew she had to do it to save herself and her siblings! What an amazingly strong girl she was! 😭

  2. How could I reach out to this girl? I admire her story and bravery and I've been through a lot of trauma myself. I feel like we would be a good match and she's drop dead gorgeous. We would have so much to talk about and I could teach her so much about life it would be amazing

  3. It’s heartbreaking to say this, but the reality of this tragedy is much worse than what ABC is reporting. After googling this story due to see how the kids are now, an interview with Jordan Turpin came up where she spoke about how her father assaulted her in front of her chained up 4 year old sister when their mother wasn’t in the house on more than one occasion. The level of depravity that occurred in this home to innocent children is beyond evil. Jordan didn’t mention this in the trail because she was so physically and psychologically abused, that she suffered from Stockholm Syndrome.

The youngest children in the family were sent to DCF where they actually experienced more abuse within the system, because people were too afraid to take in kids that have a history of severe abuse. Some of the kids, such as Jordan, are trying to cope with what she’s lived through. Her older sister, Jennifer, has fared much better, though she carries a lifetime of psychological damage that have made her feel like she’s continually guilty anything she does.
It’s awful that there isn’t a better system in place to handle horrific situations like this. DCF allowed children who were horrifically abused to go through even more abuse at a time when they finally had hope of living a better life. Jordan is a hero, but she and her older sister shouldn’t have to carry the weight of all of this, it simply isn’t right.

  4. I hate those fucking dispatcher they need to ask where you are and if you need officers now not your lifestory before they send help those seconds minutes are critical send help asap

  5. …and, having been "rescued":
"An investigation for the ABC newsmagazine 20/20, which chronicled the case for the November 2021 special Escape from a House of Horror, reported some of the Turpin children are now neglected by Riverside County social services, some are homeless and none may use the hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to them.[41] The money was placed in a trust controlled by a court-appointed public guardian.
Joshua Turpin stated he could not access funds and was denied the purchase of a bicycle.[42] During an interview with Diane Sawyer for the 20/20 special, Jordan Turpin stated that she was released without warning from a foster home with no life skills, no plans for housing, or knowledge of how to get food and healthcare.
According to the report, Riverside County has hired a private law firm to investigate allegations of abuse by social services" (Wikipedia)

    Gaaad bless Amurrica.

  6. Absolutely insane that parents can do that. She's such a sweet and brave woman. I hope that she and her siblings are healing from their tragic childhoods.

  7. I felt her anxiety as she recounted the night that changed her life. I pray, she and her siblings are given all the opportunities for the brightest future possible.

  8. I was so scared cuz what if the police took the parents side and what if he gave the girl back , she wouldn’t have been here today .. THANKS TO THE POLICE WHO FOLLOWED HIS DUTY . HE SAVED AN ENTIRE GENERATION OF A FAMILY
