  1. Julius Jones is a bad man, and I use to be all for the death penalty in most cases. But now I'd only support the death penalty in cases of treason, or sexual crimes against children and those who commit capitol crimes against the elderly and disabled. I also think that the only methods of execution should be the firing squad or hanging.

  2. Shame how many people are emotionally invested in the case, but haven’t bothered to look into the facts of the case or even listen to one of the victim impact statements. It’s gross what WE ON THE LEFT are settling for. Jacob Blake?? Julius Jones?? Joseph Roesenbaum?? These are not good people.. Why is this happening??

  3. This news article ignores Julius Jones crime spree 6 days before the murder,
as Jones pled guilty to ARMED ROBBERY/CARJACKING in a identical case (Julius in bandanna, holding a gun to victims head, demanding carkeys)

  4. ABC caused much of this controversy by running a misleading docudrama "The Last Defense" (produced by anti-death penalty activists and actress Viola Davis) under the umbrella of "20/20" which used to be a news program but has shifted to docudrama re-enactments. ABC should have ran a disclaimer at each break saying "NOT A NEWS BROADCAST"

ABC did not fact-check the show and allowed Julius Jones to make false and self-serving statements that he was only a shoplifter,

rather than the reality that he was a 3 time convicted felon who plead guilty to an identical carjacking (Julius in bandanna, gun to head of victim Dr. Anon Lapsie, demand for carkeys) which occurred

6 days prior to the Howell carjacking which escalated into murder.

  5. So, the "I didn't do it" defense didn't work in the court system, and jurors found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Appeals didn't work either. And, now, the "news" (not news) is presenting this as a hallmark achievement to overturn the sentencing he was given?? Does the "news" (not news) examine this case from the perspective of his victims and family? No. They make this an issue about the convicted murderer, and ignore justice for his victims.
