How does someone get convicted for FOUR murders when only ONE MAN got killed. If someone can explain it I have always wondered that. This seems like there were multiple victims.

It's logistically impossible to take guns away from people but you can make it impossible to use them even under circumstances that are so obviously defendable

Well self defense is when someone comes after you to kill you with deadly force and creates a deadly force situation then self defense with deadly force is legal. That is how it's done on the streets legally, But in Ohio we have a beautiful law called The castle doctrine law and all you have to do is come on my property running your mouth and threatening me or anyone in my home. Afterwards I make my official statement to police and go through the interrogation with my lawyer present. Sign my statement and as soon as the prosecutor refuses to charge me, I'll pick up my gun on the way out of the police station. They won't return my ammunition but I can buy more if needed. But you have to prove intent, availability, opportunity, jeopardy. And the first 3 can be disputed with the evidence. But no matter what. 4: no matter what the police try with this one remember jeopardy, isn't anything they can prove with the investigation because jeapordy is your state of mind at the time and only you can testify to that. I know a few people who got prison time for manslaughter and unfortunately they were black men, but they had a clear case of self defense but when asked if they were in fear for there life or that of a 3rd party they said no I had my gun so I wasn't scared. Bam manslaughter conviction at trial is guarenteed and you were just defending yourself. Just keep your mouth shut until a lawyer is present and do exactly what he says and answer the way he or she tells you to, afterwards go home to your family and get on with your life

Without being there and able to review all the evidence in this case it's hard to determine exactly what happened. Sure the he said she said courtroom footage has swayed opinions on it. But I for one don't go by the what is said in a news release, mainly because of just that. They release, what they want. To me it makes not a bit of difference what color. But the full facts and the real evidence are what brings guilt or innocence to bear. That I leave up to jury to determine as they are the ones who've been listening to both sides and have a much better understanding of the truth In this case. So instead of throwing comments, how about throwing a few prayers to the people who now have responsibility of changing the lives of all involved. That's quite a weight to be placed on a person. And it's their verdict they have to live with. It's easy to arm chair and text your feelings because you don't have to look into the eyes of those sitting in that court room as you pass judgement on others.

If I were on the jury I would be asking why he was jogging in a neighborhood that he didn't live in and I would be looking closely at the video where he grabs the gun. In a nearly identical scenario to Gage Grosskreutz and Kyle Rittenhouse Ahmaud Arberry ran up on Travis McMichael who was forced to aim his gun at this obvious threat and that justifiable action stopped the threat momentarily until the attacker gained confidence because the defender did not open fire and resumed his aggressive action forcing the defender to use deadly force!!!
Interpreting the law in any other way puts the advantage on the criminal action of attacking someone who is simply standing their ground or in-flight and only forced to take an aggressive posture because of the aggressive criminal action
