As i see it about "public debate" on firearms and regulations, there is the matter of proof of value of making a statement.
The Australian and British press feel that their words and gathered statistics that are not the work of trusted USA citizens are what to listen to about gun violence gun ban and the solution.
However, most of such information is delivered to anyone through a monarchies press media.
A media that is checked for it to be pro government policies and not undermine the status quo of there reports and statements of success, and has strict rules to not devalue or undermine the wishes and policies of the monarchy and its appointed governments.
If anyone wants firearms removed from the average law abiding citizen it is the monarchies and dictatorship governments around the world whoms statistical evidence of firearms ban does not mention or properly show the statistics of brain damage and serious injury that are the side effects of not using a firearm, and i mean that in a context of there being no difference to death as the result of attack.

One mass killing occurrence in Australia was a fight (a brawl) broke out in Melbourne Victoria between a group of white people and a group of Chinese Australians near the River Yarra in the middle of the city, at least three people were killed from machete wounds and others with knives and various other implements, while one was suspected of drowning from being in the river injured.
It was many years after the incident when i was researching for articles that i found an event in which at least four people were killed that did not involve people whom knew each other and and was in a public place.

Guns are deadly sure, but they are still an object unless used improperly. A car can be just as much as a deadly weapon as a gun, or even an everyday tool like a hammer. Anything is harmless unless put into the wrong hands. Guns are not the problem, people are. This is literally common sense, why is this so hard to understand?

No, america has a jogger problem.
They had to bring race into this like everything else. Maybe the reason there are a high amount of black people homicides involving a gun is a family structure and environment issue. Issues with the school system and not having good role models. If we get rid of guns all law abiding citizens wouldn’t use them and they will still be used on the streets. You can say I wish guns were never made but we are well passed that point.

Heck they basically have child safety caps now because gunsmiths want them to be as safe as possible and technology for guns have progressed a long way.
Laws while great will not help this specific problem due to it’s nature, the best way that is known so far would be to provide proper world wide education on guns making sure everyone knows how to handle them and to trust civilians with guns as they want the best for their country way more than the government does.
Will this get rid of death and violence?
no, people have been at each other’s throats and have been doing stupid things long before guns and explosives were in the picture, however it will keep things to a minimum as it will be the whole world against the few who mean to do us harm and the knowledge to make more informed choices, smart ones? debatable but least they have some ground to stand on.
Mental Health is a different monster altogether that is not simply solved and to be honest is being undermined with all the focus on “gun- safety” (control) over the years.

Too easily debunked. Completely false. Defensive use of firearms far outweigh and outnumber any violence and the vast majority of gun deaths are suicide followed by gangs/drugs. The chances of an innocent person not involved in any criminal activity being shot, as long as they don't live in the hood, is almost negligent compared our population. And, even in violent neighborhoods the likelihood of being shot if you yourself are not involved with any criminal activity is extremely small, not any more likely than being robbed at knife point in that type of area if you aren't involved in criminal activity. Plus, you don't blame getting fat on the spoon, you don't blame a car crash on the car, you don't blame misspelled words on the pen and you don't blame violence on the gun. ALL criminal activity has gone up since the beginning of Covid and the defund the police movements but banning guns isn't the way to reverse that. Increasing police funding and police officers (which means stop firing people for not taking the sheep's milk jab), getting people back to work and physical activities, getting mental health facilities back up to full operation and ending lockdowns/mask mandates/proof of vaccination orders is how you reverse the increase in violence (among many other things).
