Cloth face masks have never been proven to be effective in preventing the virus because they: Have a 97% penetration rate (NIH), Are less effective than a control group study who did not wear face masks (NIH), Wearers constantly touch the front of the face mask to adjust them (NIH), Wearers do not wash or discard face masks after each use but use them day-in/day-out for days, defeating the purpose of wearing them in the first place. 5. Public schools need to implement government practices for COVID safety, it’s a PUBLIC SCHOOL. If you don’t like it, pay to go somewhere else. Create your own school. Let your kids go unmasked, I hope it weeds out our future.

Some parents, I am sorry to say, are woefully uninformed, uneducated and ignorant about public health issues. I am always going to take the word of a professional with years of education and degrees in the subject over some parent that works in a factory, or at a supermarket. Sorry. Absolutely do research and get second and third opinions. But I dont know of too many doctors that are going to disagree with the mask mandate.

19. If there is a covid outbreak at a school because kids don't wear masks, that school will have to close and start remote classes.
    Other parents who send their kids with masks might sue the the other parents or even the school. This is going to be a mess.

20. If these kids don't have a problem wearing a mask, then there is no issue. They never needed a mandate, order, restriction, requirement or school policy to wear them to begin with. However, there are some people who will tell you that having earthworms crawl on their face is "no big deal," while others wouldn't be able to tolerate it for one second. And that is the case even though the "science" (whatever that means these days) shows that worms are not going to harm you (look it up for you anti-earthwormers out there). By not being sympathetic to the fact that some kids and adults can't tolerate the mask for whatever reason, are you being "selfish?" Or, is that term only reserved for people who cannot tolerate worms — er, I mean masks? Why not protect your own child with a KN-95 or an N-95 mask with a face shield added perhaps and let others choose. Just a thought.

21. Choice? Before you send kids back to school parents are REQUIRED to make sure their kids are up to date with their shots. If someone elses child dies because you insisted on having your choice, what choice did you give that little kid? In times of crisis republicans say be tough, pull up your boot straps and do whats needed but now dont want to put on a simple mask.
