  1. " Industry standards " based on flawed union directives that removes the actor's duty to check any gun in his possession immediately to clear it for safety before using it. The union has taken that responsibility from the actor and placed it on the armorer. They should be sued for creating the very scenario that invited the possibility of a disastrous event to occur that we have now experienced with Alec Baldwin. No armorer or 2nd or 3rd person can prevent the actor, himself, from loading the gun or using it improperly. It was THE UNION that is at fault by taking one person's obligation and assigning it to another, who could not have prevented this tragedy if she wanted to. It is universally understood that, whoever takes possession of a firearm automatically assumes responsibility for it's use and for whatever happens with it, or to it, whether it is negligent or criminal, for as long as it is in that person's custody and control. Should it be lost or stolen, that person understands that he is obligated to reimburse the value of the gun, and could face charges of negligence for it's loss. No Hollywood union can remove that responsibility from anyone by arbitrarily assigning it to another person by way of job description. It cannot be done and we have now seen why. Any union that has this dangerous chain of gun handling, exempting the one who will be firing the gun, should be legally compelled to reverse course and fall back to the tried and true understanding that it is the responsibility of any individual who takes possession of a firearm to check and clear it immediately and render it safe. Centuries of gun etiquette cannot and should not be adjusted to favor one person over another, or to remove Alec Baldwin's accountability for not having proven his gun safe before pulling the trigger and killing the defenseless and unsuspecting Halyna Hutchins.

  6. Why would anyone point a gun at anyone for any reason? Why would anyone point a gun at a friend for any reason? And why would anyone actually pull the trigger on a gun pointed at a friend? Even if he thought there was no bullet it's still a very aggressive move.

I find it interesting how the media is seemingly ignoring the fact that the armorer i.e. Hannah Gutierrez was careless & utterly incompetent in her duties as a weapons specialist on the set of the movie Rust. There had been complaints about her dumb a.. prior on the set of the Nicholas Cage movie the "The Old Way"…Never mind that though, cause she's a lady.

    Que Tom Jones~ "Let her dreammmmm, cause she'sssss a child…She's a sweet and gentle flower growing wild", smh. What a crock of ish! If this were a man he'd already be arrested & facing charges for reckless endangerment resulting in involuntary manslaughter.

  9. I can already see this playing out; they're going to blame the armorer for this entire situation that was caused by everyone involved including and especially Alec Baldwin…and Alec is going to get off freely or with minimal charges.

    Keep in mind people, that if this were you or I that did this we'd be in jail!

  26. As a gun owner it's my responsibility to ensure that my guns are used safely. Furthermore, if I let someone else handle it then the person handling it is in possession and is responsible for the actions taken with it. Mr. Baldwin himself should have made sure it was safe, thus making him negligent, too.

  44. I want to see a movie where the actors say BANG BANG when they fire a gun. That’s what we use to do when we were kids, running around outside the house shooting each other. It seemed very realistic back then 🔫

  45. Those old West revolvers ( Colt 45 ) have tapered cartridge cylinders ( where the crimped blanks go into )!
    They are made that way too keep from inserting a real bullet cartridge into it , if that gun fired a bullet instead of harmless blanks ( except for within 3 ft. of the muzzle ) …then that gun had a real bullet cartridge cylinder installed on it !!! And it as been reported that the crew was shooting real ammunition from those guns the day before!!!
    That inexperienced woman is the sole person too blame for this … I bet she didn't even change the cartridge cylinders back to the blanks ones !!!???
