  1. I remember watching Sidney in a movie called Patch Of Blue. He was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. So handsome. Think about the time he was an actor in Hollywood who knew and felt racism back then, and yet thru all that is one of the most respected actors of his day. He did it with dignity and style, always held his head high. RIP. A wonderful actor and good man.

  2. Sidney Poitier and Harry Belefonte used their art and talent for social justice. What pride the Carribean must take ownership of Rest in peace you brave courageous human being

  3. ON PEUT LUI FAIRE UN GRAND AUREVOIR . IL CREVÉ L'ÉCRAN DE LA VIE , COMME LE PASTEUR MARTIN LUTHER KING. ET D'AUTRES 👪 👪 👪 👪 QUE LES ANGES 👼 👼 👼 VOUS ACCOMPAGNE VERS VÔTRE MAGNIFIQUE ÉTOILE.

  4. No respect whatsoever for this person.. Devalued his first wife and his children who look like her in favor of his majority wife and those kids who look like her. Awful man. But, I do like the movie, “ To Sir With Love “ due to its supporting cast, location and theme.

  5. Always one of my favorite actors from childhood. He was a talented actor and director, but more than that he was a great man. RIP Mr Poitier

  6. He could have been any color n still would have been a great actor n a legend. Loved all his movies as he was always realistic whatever he acted in. God bless him n may he RIP.
