  1. Ice doesn't discriminate. Just because you have an SUV it doesn't save you from going out of control. Just stay home when the roads are like this.

  2. I saw at least 20 accidents on my way to work (in CT) that morning, even someone on foot wipe out at a gas station. It was crazy out there!

  3. Happened to me in vernon. Car coming down hill, I was on the cross street and we were seconds/inches from colliding. No one had an idea that roads were terrible. I'm glad that both the driver and I are safe.

  4. None of the roads in CT were treated! According to the officials the rain would have washed away the pretreatment and the salt would have blown away from the winds so they did nothing nada zilch 🤬 There were over 285 accidents!

  5. I was born and raised in Stamford CT and I remember being around 19 years old and was driving down the street and it was snowing. All of a sudden the car just started spinning. Thank God no one was on the street.

  6. I slid down that same hill once (it's about 2 miles from me) I wasn't speeding I was sliding. That's what ice does. You can't grip it.Lucky when I did it there was snow banks on the side of the road to slow me down some.I have studded snow tires now. At least with these I have a chance in un expected situations like this.
