Vaccines aren't the answer to stop this pandemic as the virus is mutating whenever faced with an antibody/cellular immunity. Vaccines inducted immunity takes time to develop whereas virus mutates with each cycle of replication.Therefore a losing game. The only way out are probably antiviral drugs alone or in combination that are safe and virucidal. Worldwide efforts must be directed this way and if worthwhile drugs are available they must be deployed in each country to each patient so that global virus replication ( therefore mutations) is halted in a short time frame and we attain near zero COVID state. Effective vaccines will reduce caseload and may be buy us time. Allowing replication in any part of the world will start a wildfire pandemic almost indefinitely. Mark my words COVID 19 has potential to cause human extinction. It is not the time for inequities in deployment of medical /health resources or look for profits.

I see why. People are still going around others even though they recently had family members or someone in the same household test positive. They also not wearing any mask or social distancing.
