Bennie Thompson, D-Miss, chair of the committee, said publicly several times that “nobody is off-limits” and that the panel would consider issuing subpoenas for members of Congress who do not voluntarily cooperate with the investigation. In a Jan. 2 interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” he said: “I think there are some questions of whether we have the authority to do it. We’re looking at it. If the authorities are there, there’ll be no reluctance on our part.”

    If they don’t have the authority to do it, then there’s a definitely flaw in our Constitution because that make any member of either Congress “above the law” where they can do anything and can’t be touched.

  23. Can't blame him. Pelosi had set the conclusion that the "investigation" would reach before their first meeting. She hand picked all the members from her list of toadies and butt kissers. I hope after the midterms that there are investigations into her stock trading. She made more last year than the top names is stock trading. There are two explanations, either she and her husband are the luckiest people in the US or she had insider information. My vote goes to the latter.
