USA Track and Field announced that Sha’Carri Richardson will not run the 4×100 relay, her last chance to make the team. After her stunning victory in the 100 meter during Olympic Trials, Richardson was suspended from the team after she tested positive for marijuana.

Screw politics in the olympics
Living in the DFW we watched her blaze the track throughout HS and followed her through college. Sadly this was just a matter of time, she been smoking since HS. Sorry for the loss of her mother but she didn’t just decide to smoke because of that. Fastest female in America but also the most ratchet female athlete in the olympics. Needs to learn some humility while she gets ready for next time. She so cocky she actually thought she could smoke and get away with it. Sad to see such God given talent combined with such a lack of self respect or respect for the the sport. Getting high is not worth throwing away the opportunity to be a real olympic phenomenon. Those that surround her should have done more to keep her on the straight and narrow but they allowed her to feel overly entitled and untouchable. Most people with that mentality are destined for failure because they simply feel that they don’t have comply with the rules laid out in front of them.
Ok…. "must maintain fairness to all the athletes". So…. BE LENIENT TO ALL THE ATHLETES THEN. It's a dumb rule. It's not performance enhancing.

Many of us know that the reason Miss Richardson stated and was disqualified from the Olympics for is probably not the real reason (smoking marijuana). Now they expect us to believe that Simon Biles too is having mental issues (They know that American would never believe that Biles would even smoke a cigarette.)and is unable to compete and do what she can do with her eyes close or perform beneath her ability and still win the Gold. Wake up people, they are going after our young people who are doing extraordinary things.
There was a Caucasian woman caught doing steroids "that someone slipped in her food" she said… and still competed in Olympics. This world messed up.
Follow the rules and you won’t be disqualified!
