6. All who are concerned about getting the vaccine, please do some more research. Coronavirus vaccines have actually been around for awhile. Scientists knew a lot already from their research with similar Coronavirus family strains such as SARS (2002) and MERS (2012). Thus, they had a 17 year head start. They were able to speed up testing for this particular vaccine by getting lots more volunteers from various demographics around the world. Instead of working independently, scientists around the globe partnered together by sharing their research. They also did not have to scramble to raise money as governments happily funded the research. All these factors allowed our great scientists around the world to safety produce the vaccine faster than normal.

   If you are conservative, remember that Trump called it “his vaccine” and happily took credit for Operation Warp Speed. He and Giuliani were hospitalized with it and Trump himself got the vaccine. This is NOT a political issue. This is a “we don’t want our high risk friends and family to die” issue! But what if you are young and invincible? You don’t know if you are carrying it asymptomatically. You may unintentionally infect someone who is at high risk. If you don’t trust Dr. Fauci, please listen to what Dr. Francis Collins (a conservative Christian and Director of the NIH has to say).
