7. The ONLY way that having or passing common sense voting laws are racist is if you believe that showing proof that you are a legal resident of the state and country you live in as racist. Getting an ID or drivers license costs almost nothing and is required for anyone that wants to drive or go to work. An id, as stated by one of the other senators during the hearings for these types of laws, is free in many states. [Not all, to be sure.] (And yes, there are hurdles for non-English speaking foreigners to getting a license, that's because they have to get proof of their legal residency as a permanent refugee or legal immigrant in the form of a green card or permanent refugee ID; which by the way serves as identification for getting your state ID or drivers license.)

   In many of these hearings they mention that this is "racist" towards Hispanics and minorities. Really!? How so? Are they unable to get any form of legal residency ID or Drivers license? Is any legal American unable to get ID, show legal residency of the state they live in, green card, or birth certificate? How are they unable to get an ID? Language barrier? Every DMV in every state is legally required to get someone that can translate, either in person or on the phone as long as you can prove that you have a legal right, as a registered citizen, to live and vote as an American.

   Is it to much to ask that ballets cast through the mail be verified as a legal ballet, and that the person lives in the state and district in which they live? Or, for that matter, that someone else isn't voting for those people?

   Do you honestly think that they, being the current president, vise president, and the democratic party, have been doing absolutely nothing about the millions that have already come into this country illegally, and are still coming across our southern border illegally, a that these same politicians are attempting to immediately make these people citizens, retroactively as well, through addendums in bills that are currently on the floor, and pass "For the people" voting laws because the current law of showing proof that you are a US citizen and live where you say you live is "racist"?

   Because, if so, your head is stuck so far in the dirt it's 6 feet under. But, don't worry you'll still get to vote Democrat in the upcoming elections.

The 2004 Carter-Baker Commission (yes that would be the very liberal Democratic President Jimmy Carter) on Federal Election Reform concluded that absentee balloting is vulnerable to abuse in several ways. Vote buying schemes are more difficult to detect when citizens vote by mail. Additionally, political party advocates must not handle absentee ballots.
