However, what really happened is you visited grandma for the first time after getting fully vaccinated carrying the virus directly to her. Then science said get vaccinated to stop the spread, however, the most vaccinated areas allowed for the fastest spread because more people are now getting milder infections which encourages them to walk around spreading it. The unvaccinated stayed away from grandma and got sicker faster which made them stay at home in bed faster which prevented them from spreading it as fast. Crazy how science can turn on its head hundreds of times before the truth finally reveals itself.
