Hey Blinky, it's easy just follow the peace agreement the US Russia and Ukraine agreed upon in Minsk, the Minsk Agreement.
Let me put it this way, would the US allow Russian troops in Mexico near the borders?. If the answer is no, don't change the status quo by allowing Ukraine to join NATO. Ukraine is a buffer zone between Russian and NATO troops, keep it that way or be prepared for a new Cuban missile crisis. Don't force the bear to do something stupid like arming Cuba or Venezuela with ICBM to counter this threat
And we won't be distracted by Canadian truckers launching the largest vaccine mandate in history. Actually the largest protest in history period that ABC won't cover.

Best way to solve this is to just let Russia have Donetsk and Luhansk. Clearly in those areas the majority speaks Russian and identifies as Russian… so just let them go. Even if Ukraine manages to recapture them, there will be an insurgency for decades.

I live the EU, and here the atmosphere is way more rational, calmer. Even Ukraine's president said that you have gone too far & the risk of a Russian invasion is way overstated by US & the media.
