  2. The story has not been reported in any biographies of Janis. Shep doesn’t provide a time frame. During the last month of Janis’ life, she stayed at the Landmark, but Jimi Hendrix was in London and Jim Morrison was in Miami, Florida. Shep and Vincent / Alice could be making up their story.

    Also, two biographies of Janis say she didn’t smoke pot and she avoided Jim Morrison after a violent incident that occurred in May 1968. These are two more strikes against Shep and Vincent / Alice telling the truth.
