  1. I just research normally the original voice casting of Velma it was played by a white woman her name is Nicole Jaffe including the original Scooby gang were voiced by White actors voice the Scooby gang so Scooby gang they were always depicted as white ?!

  2. People have weird reaction about the voice casting okay Velma and the Scooby gang they always have been portrayed as white so if it is the case other people of colour voiced The character for so long since the decadeWhy won’t they are the characters in Scooby Doo why the cast was not diverse and look at these other Scooby Doo live action movies Sarah Jeffery play Daphne I heard another actress who Velma with Sarah Jeffery she was also Asian heritage probably Japanese ?! They should have created a new Scooby gang in multiple spin-off ?!!!!!!

  3. So apperantly not wanting a character you like being ruined makes you racist. Like no, I don't hate the casting due to the actress' skin color, I hate the casting because her character is just mutilated. She doesn't sound, look or act as the original character. They just made a new character, put her in the same clothes and gave her the old name. I just love how the media just spams the word "racist" like crazy everytime there is backlash at a person of color soley to get more views. F*** you NBC News!

  4. Dang imagine saying "racism" to any criticism. The fact is that if you take velma, make her east asian, say that the mystery gang doesnt exist in the world, and she doesnt interact with any mystery gang character it's not velma at that point. Its a brand new character high jacking another for success. Imagine making Batman an asian poor person with two living parents, its just dumb.

  5. I really hope that this doesn't come as a problem in the end because I do kind of want to remake from Scooby-Doo because the 1969 is the one I grew up with

  6. 🤷 I'm literally not her fan. But, I'm sure Hollywood is well aware of her talent as whatever she gets thrown at. What's the big deal?! It's a voice over job, plain and simple, and NOT a representation of any ethnic/cultural group, at all. We have bigger issues to deal with in the country, instead wasting time in such minutiae. All of this is so ridiculous 🙄

  7. You're wrong it's not being racist for disagreeing with the casting it's not racist you do this all the time that's not diversity just changing one person black or brown or lesbian or a woman that's not diversity you just do the same thing maybe it's different but it's the same thing they don't see I don't see Asians I don't see Hispanics all I see is the same thing black brown lesbian and gender bending

  8. Alright, I'm totally confused… Will this be a cartoon or have real actors? If a cartoon, they shouldn't mess with the characters. If real, why are they having an east Asian play the role, but have it voiced by Kaling??? This is so stupid.

  9. I think I'm more upset that they're making a live action Scooby Doo movie instead of an animated one.
You could make an animated Scooby-Doo movie and color their skin whatever color you want to as long as they act the same.
I just think it would be cool to see a modern animated portrayal of Scooby and the Gang.

  10. There is no outrage. Do the media corporations not understand the English language? George Floyd protestors were outraged. Whining by a bunch of negatively-endowed white supremacists is not outrage. It's only insecurity.

  11. Noone is outraged, stop manufacturing news based on vague "twitter outrage".. jeez you guys set the journalism bar lower and lower all the time.
