Drug maker Novavax is set to apply for FDA authorization after announcing its Covid-19 vaccine is highly effective against emerging variants. NBC News’ medical contributor, Dr. Natalie Azar, explains what role the vaccine could play in reaching herd immunity.

They had better approve this now that they're probably going to limit the use of J&J. A lot of vaccine hesitancy is over the mRNA technology.
The J & J vax has an issue with possible blood clots, this is most likely because it has an ingredient called polysorbate-80 which can cause clots. Novavax seems to be a good choice except that it also has polysorbate-80 which MUST be removed.
I rather take novavax protein vaccine rather than MRNA . Bring it soon !

This vaccine will be preferred over mRNA vaccines for many, as it introduces the spike protein rather than instruct our cells to produce it. This more traditional approach will appeal to many holdouts here in the US making it also needed

I'll be willing to take that vaccine for novavax. moderna and Pfizer are causing more severe health issues than protecting us from the virus. Many are in a rush to stop the virus but it should be more about us protecting our body and have the common sense to make the right decision for us rather than just taking any vaccine. I'm sure anybody would be willing to take the vaccine for covid but at the end of the day it's about what we are putting in our body. Both moderna and Pfizer are still in trial we are still testing to see if this these vaccines are curing us.
Wow. What a skewed interview. The Novavac is not an mRNA medicine. It is a ‘true’ vaccine in its making and action. So for them to say that the US will not have much use is propaganda to push moderna sbd Pfiziet. This Novavac will be much safer and less side effects just based on how it is made. With this whole plandemic of CoVid – one has to question why the hype on mRNA vaccines. And in such a short time. The mRNA vaccines based on their making and how they work do NOT recognized many parts of viral proteins. And thus one will need these ‘boosters’ which are NOT really boosters in the traditional sense. And no I did not get my speciality medical training from the university of Facebook or You Tube.

I may consider the novavax, as long it's not a RNA, or contain any DNA.

I will take this vaccine if it gets approved.
I will be glad to get this vaccine. I like it's effectiveness, its lack of or lesser amount of side effects, and most of all that is is produced without the connection to aborted fetuses, not wanting to forget the fact that there is that glycol ingredient in the other vaccines that it appears that I might be allergic to them, since that same ingredient is present in miralax which I cannot take because of a violent reaction I had with it very recently. I hope novavax becomes available very soon.

Novavax wiil decrease the level of vaccine hesitancy because it uses sub-unit particle technology just like vaccines for pertussis, hepatitis vaccines currently in use rather than mRNA which will encourage them to take the vaccination. We should have many different vaccine technology types available in our tool-kit to breakdown barriers and be successful in our vaccination goals. Novavax is desperately needed. And we must stop weaponizing/politicizing the unvaccinated as it only creates more division and strife.
My Dr. told me to take this vaccine instead of the others. Hope it gets approved soon!
