  1. When a White kid does a mass shooting: “Where we’re his parents?”
“He may be not mentally ok”
    “He’s just a kid!!!”

When a black kid gets shot:
    ”What’s their past?”
    “They were evil anyway.”
“They didn’t deserve due process, they were a monster!!!”

This doesn’t excuse Daunte’s past but, if these comments show anything…
It’s the Tale of two realities in America.

  2. A SLAP IN THE FACE TO THE FAMILY, WOW THIS IS ANOTHER TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE AND THE OFFICER. IS TRULY A RACIST AND HORRIBLE PERSON…….PERIOD😶😔😪😔

  3. Why are these people always said that their person is the best person including George floyd not trying to be mean. I just try to understand.

  4. This sentence is a disgrace. This young man is dead and the murderer gets 16 months. The murderer sentenced him to life. He is in , a cold grave and the murderer goes free after 16 months. I hope she receives what she deserves in prison, but they will protect her. They will protect the murderer. I hope the murderer gets to live and feel the pain in her life, that she has caused this family.

  5. Black people this is what the un-justice system thinks about us.
We can't even count on the 911 system anymore either…without fear of being brutalized or killed by the cops that respond. (Sad But True)

  6. This is a sad case but the facts remain that Daunte made a mistake by trying to run that day and Kim Potter made a mistake pulling her gun instead of her tazor. But it was Daunte's mistake that made this all unfold. You can't forget that. I get really tired of friends and family of the victims ignoring the mistakes that the victims made. I feel awful for this woman but am disappointed that she doesn't realize her son's involvement in this. And I feel sorry for Kim Potter, she has to live with the tragedy of her mistake for the rest of her life as Daunte's friends and family have to live with his death for the rest of theirs. It's tragic all the way around. But until people learn (which I'm confused why they haven't by now, since this keeps happening), that you don't fight the police or run from them. You force them to make immediate decisions that can not go your way sometimes and may end in a tragic situation. Daunte Wright most likely would still be alive today if he did not make the decision to try to run. That in itself is a tragedy.

  7. For all the ones criticizing her about how she raised him does not JUSTIFY what happened. You could raise your child in the best way possible and they become who they’ want to become ! Y’all are trash and heartless . He was still a child he had time to change his life around . Always trying to bring up somebody record . He was still a human being . Y’all are sick

  8. Obey the law. Don’t fight or flee the police. Fight your battles in court. Avoid this type of tragedy. So many people horribly affected by the poor decisions of one.

  9. I am so sorry for Daunte's family, they fought so hard to get justice. Everybody seems so good at crying on trial, like textbook. Daunte's mom absolutely has a point about her behavior and intent. Suspects of crimes have rights too, it's not up to the police or anyone to play judge and just shoot someone. This man had every right to nog be shot for a traffic pull over. He was not armed, calling his mom. He could have been given the chance to sort his things out, but he was killed because some cop lady misjudged her gun for her taser.

  10. And yes, the family may get some money from us taxpayers, but there are several lawsuits from the victims of this young thug against his estate.
So this means at least his victims will receive some compensation for the damages this thug caused them.
And, yes, check his criminal record and lawsuits pending against his estate, prove me wrong.
Baby boy, baby boy my butt!
If anyone failed him it was you woman! Don as usual blame society for your lack of good parenting.

  11. That's the courts decision,JUSTICE and CONVICTION COMES FROM THE LORD,ITS NOT OVER THAT BAD LADY COP,WILL SERVE LONG AFTER JAIL,TRUST AND BELIEVE,TRUST AND BELIEVE.TO THE WRIGHT FAMILY, BE STILL,LET PEACE IN,REST IN IT, STAY SUPER STRONG,AND PRAY WITH POWER .🙏🙏🙏🙏🤍🤍🤍🤍🦋

  12. So that she could appease Ms Potter; Judge Choo went out of her way to snatch the ex-cops' defeat from the jaws of victory. Even though I am disappointed at her unprofessional conduct, I can't say that I am surprised. Throughout the trial she showed blatant favouritism to the defence. " I was moved by the hundreds of letters received in support of Ms Potter", She said. Arent Judges not supposed to be swayed by public influence? Too bad the Wrights didn't know that all it took was a letter writing campaign to influence this disgraceful Judge. Shame on her. SHAME. SHAME. SHAME.

  13. I realize a parent is sorrowful, but this mother's words give you a clue how her son ended up being such a mess. It seems he had no one to raise him or show him there were consequences for his crimes and the horrible things he did to others.

  14. I strongly believe Kim Potter made a mistake and I don’t believe Daunte Wright should have been shot on the street but if you look at this boy’s history, there was only one of two ways it would have ended. Dead or in jail. Please raise your kids right. Discipline them hard. Don’t give them any room to misbehave or run wild cos that’s what leads to these situations. I’m a 36 year old black man now but when I was an adolescent and a teenager, I was terrified of both my parents and I believe it kept me on the straight and narrow path. Today most of these kids have little to no parental guidance. RIP to the young man. I hope both sides find peace.

  15. Daunte's parents neglected to teach their angelic little career criminal not to resist arrest. But perhaps they intentionally omitted that in hopes of a future windfall lawsuit.
