9. The IOC screwed this whole thing up. Remember, Kamila's doping was found on Dec 21-25 but was never revealed until Feb when she won Gold during the team competition. Then the IOC said, there will not be any medal ceremony if, Kamila wins gold, depriving the Russians of any medal.

   Now, if the IOC announce it before the team competition, the Russians could easily replace her, and still, win gold with Anna & Alexandra. And everything would have been honky dory. No drama. As it turns out if Kamila wins individual gold, there would be no medal ceremony depriving the Russians of their gold.

   So, in order to have a medal ceremony and for the Russians to have their gold, the Russians conceivably have to trash Kamila's program because they know Anna & Alexandra will deliver the medals. And, that's what happened. The Russians still got their Gold!

   This makes more sense now that the Duma will award Kamila not only for her Olympic 2022 but also all her world figure skating achievements.

25. Everyone criticizing and insulting Valieva should "hold their horses" until the formal investigation is concluded. The whole world ganged up against this 15-year-old girl. Words like doping, cheating, drug scanda, are freely used against her. It is cruel and inhumane, to say the least. The world’s criticism directed to her affects her performance negatively more than any drug could enhance her performance. Grow up. Stop the hysterics and be humane.

    For me there is not only “reasonable doubt”. There is an enormous amount of doubt that she is guilty.
    
    1. How did the drug get into her system?
    
    – Accidental contamination? Very possible. See my own experience below.
    
    – Her supporting team (coaches or doctors) fed her the drug disguised as vitamins and she did not realize what she is taking?
    
    – She took the drug knowingly? I have a hard time to believe this but let the investigation conclude.
    
    2. Would she, her team, ROC, etc., have sent her samples to Stockholm, or her to the Olympics, knowing or suspecting that this drug was in her body?
    
    – I doubt it. These people are not stupid.
    
    – They would not even have sent her to the Olympics if they knew at that time.

    – This is absurd and all these excuses is just noise. The IOC rules state that the lab must publish the results within 20 days.
    
    – Had Valieva or the ROC received the results within 20 days they would have had time to challenge the results and, if the results were accepted as true, they would not have sent her to the Olympics.

    I was working in a foreign country as an expat for 5 years. Every year all expats had to go for a complete and thorough medical examination. One year I failed. The testing Dr told me they detected an illegal drug in my system. I was floored as I never used drugs in my entire life. This was serious as I could go to jail in this country for this. The Dr then asked me to go and fetch all the medicine that I have in my apartment and to bring it back to him. He then identified a specific head-ache tablet, that was available in any pharmacy without a prescription, to contain the illegal substance they detected in my system.

    This is how easy it can happen.

    Now: Be civil. Sit back and watch this superstar perform and enjoy something beautiful. She is out of this world. An amazing athlete. Unfortunately, the psychological damage to her is already done and she will not be able to perform to her optimum for the rest of the Olympics. The overall negativity against all the ROC athletes affects them all. Thanks to you.
