  1. irrigation+rainfall = evaporation + transpiration + runoff + leaching

Which one of these processes do Farmers really have control over during the growing season? If you have the ability to irrigate your sandy soils and water is cheap and plentiful, then you are fortunate and have some control on the left side of the equation. If you do not have irrigation, you must look at the factors on the right side of the equation to see what can be controlled or minimized to benefit your crop. Evaporation from the soil surface can be reduced with mulch or leaving crop residue on the soil surface. Transpiration is a function of the plant leaf surface area and the weather. Runoff is or should be minimal in sandy textured soils with high percolation rates.
This leaves the leaching of water out of the root zone as the #1 controllable loss of moisture to your crop. Interrupting the downward movement of moisture in your soil by installing a "smart" barrier can greatly reduce the leaching of water and nutrients. SWRT subsurface membranes detain/retain up to 90% of irrigation or rainfall in the root zone for crop use by disrupting the gravitational movement of water in the soil while still allowing excess water to percolate and do not create anaerobic soil conditions.

  2. Drought created by the nasty democrat/socialist/communist/fraudulent/ government, in order to control the food supply, so to increase the price as they please, and to condition you to do what they want. WAKE UP AMERICANS WE NEED TO WAKE UP BEFORE IS TOO LATE. I have a ranch, and I won't see if there is any nasty government that will make me sell it. I hate democratic politicians and its government. I wish you were all dead…

  3. Why aren't Farmers, Governments, and Departments of Forestry and Land Management across the world not utilizing Solar Atmospheric Water Generators (SAWG)?

There is a SOLUTION. We know better and can do better.

SAWG's could be easily installed on pre-existing Fire Watch Towers along with a drainage system that funnels the collected water into surrounding landscapes. All states, cities, counties, villages, etc., should have these towers built, including managed forest systems, public lands, and farms – both large and small. No-one need be experiencing land drought nor water deficiencies.

So let's say you're a Farmer or Land Owner who just doesn't have that kind of money for a fancy atmospheric water collection system, well no problem.

Purchase yourself a Solar Powered Generator or a Solar Power Station with Solar Panels, like a Jackery, etc., starting with a base unit if that's what it takes. Buy a descent size Dehumidifier, start small if you have to.

Also, you need to build some type of tower to set your atmospheric water collection system upon, whatever materials you can use to do it is just fine, it doesn't have to be fancy.

Charge the solar generator or power station with your solar panel(s), plug up the dehumidifier, and let it, and the power of the Sun, start pulling water from the air for you. When the catch basin fills, pour it out onto your land. Build a simple drainage system that you can pour the water into and allow it to funnel down and into various areas of your land.

Invite high school and college students to volunteer to help manage the system – perhaps they could earn hours towards a Scholarship or Grant for their help, and allow them to help you manage and protect your farms and your lands. You can reverse this curse – but you have to want to, it's just that simple. 💞

  4. Newsom pushing biggest dam removal project in the history of humans.

Four hydroelectric dams on Klamath River (Iron Gate, Copco1, Copco 2 and Boyle) will be destroyed. Three reservoirs are holding 45 billion gallons of fresh water will be gone forever.

Destruction of California’s Klamath River Water Storage and Clean Green Renewable Hydropower by urging dam removal during major drought, eliminating fire suppression in a catastrophic wildfire area, bypassing American citizens right to due process by violating the Klamath Basin Compact, ignoring NEPA and trying to rush through Klamath Dam Destruction without considering the health and welfare of MAN and the environment, ignoring the County of Siskiyou and the will of its People.

On these grounds alone Gavin Newsom should be recalled. This is a completely manmade crisis and if allowed to continue this will be the largest environmental disaster in known history. The destruction of a specialized warm water ecosystem that is thriving for a fairytale of headlines is not worth the 20 million plus cubic yards of sediment destroying everything in its wake. Putting American citizens at risk of breathing in toxic dust and living with a cracked and dead landscape in perpetuity and further burdening the California taxpayer with all the liabilities from mitigating the largest environmental disaster of all time. Unacceptable. Today's farmer is yesterday's Native American. We need food and water to keep California alive. NOW is the time!

  5. California the bread basket of the US.
CA reservoirs were designed to provide a steady five year supply for all users, and were filled to the top in June 2019.

“In the last 14 days, 90% of Delta inflow went to sea. It’s equal to a year’s supply of water for 1 million people. Are we having a dry year? Yes,” Diener says. “That is normal for us. Should we be having water shortages in the start of our second dry year? No. Our reservoirs were designed to provide a steady five year supply for all users, and were filled to the top in June 2019. “Before our magnificent reservoir projects were built, California never had a steady and reliable supply of water. Now water is being managed as if those reserves don’t exist, by emptying the collected water from storage to the sea, rather than saving it for our routinely dry years,” Diener says. “Our water projects were designed to be managed for the long term providing a minimum five year supply, but California has now put us on track to have a man made drought crisis every time we don’t have a wet season.”

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

  8. I live in central valley CA. right now foreign owned farms are using our water to grow food for thier country ..CHINA ..SAUDI..OWNED BIG FARMS IN CALIFORNIA..BUT NO DEMOCRATES MENTIONS SHUTTING OFF THERE WATER….I SAY SHUT OFF WATER AND TAKE THE FARMS AWAY…THIS OUR COUNTRY ..F THEM

  9. Desalination wont help this problem because of the price they’re gonna be charging everyone in the valley they need to build Dams to store water from the snow when it melts and when we get rain not hard too see this but the Central Valley gets over looked all the time by the Silicon Valley and the Stars of Hollywood….

  10. God bless our farmers! We are so grateful for all you do -all of your hard work, investment, patience, and fortitude. Thank you for feeding this world.
Sometimes we get so caught up in the stress of our lives especially since last year that when we go to the grocery store or market we focus on what we need and forget what all it took to get that food to our store then to our house. Thank you farmers! We'd be lost without you! God bless you and your families!

  11. Los Angeles, is making a huge unnatural desert in the middle of Ca by diverting water through the aqueducts from the mountains. If they don’t have water they shouldn’t be that big. Farmers are feeding America and boosting the GDP. Colorado too, they are getting depleted as well.

  12. All of the Aquifers around the World are sucking Mud now. By doing this we have created a population of 8 Billion people. And now with all this water gone what do you think will happen. Mass Starvation which will lead to World War Three. Laugh all you want but when people start to really starve; War is the only result. We as a species are the dumbest creatures to ever exist. Our Brains are useless.
