  1. All people should know that without Black people and Asian people this country wouldn't be here,so
We all deserve love & respect to one another
My deepest sympathy to the victim of atlanta shooting. I'm am so sorry for those poor innocents
    Lives on that dreadful day

  2. Racism is evil, period. And it also separates people from each other, and ultimately separates them from God. Slavery and bondage, those are the works of the beast. But if you wanna divide people, go ahead, you will suffer the consequences eventually.

  3. I stand with u my Asian brothers and sisters! Together we rise! I have a dream that someday we see a Asian governor and eventually an Asian president of the untied states. “I have a dream”

  4. I have made my own decisions as to what I will be doing and what I will no longer be supporting. I will scrutinize and analyze everything that comes across me if I will even participate or support or ignore. No longer interested in becoming part of a dystopia system and its supposedly a melting pot view. 1st and foremost, I will only support my Asian community. And that is across the board on everything. I see the clause( ) but I don't care, I create the content within that clause. Thats my power.

  5. I am an Chinese living in Indonesia that prefers to speak English learning in a Taiwanese school and everyone in my school thinks I’m German/Singaporean……

  6. Excellent panel discussion, since so many aspects of each panelist rang true. My experience is an amalgamation of all three speakers.

Growing up somewhat old school, I was trained heavily in the martial arts, but later also modernized with everything that the militarized police uses. During college, I went off the beaten path of a medical family into business and finance. I had the credentials and swagger work at a Fortune 500 brokerage firm, was a top ranked financial consultant, despite being an Asian American male, but found the micro aggressions tricky to navigate, even among a few white friends.  I had been active with civil rights advocacy through OCA, but eventually my career crowded out all of my personal activities.

I interacted well with the police ("big boy show-and-tell"), despite them finding guns and a huge ammo stash in my trunk after my Mercedes got rear-ended by a high school kid, and his anti-2A mom called me "a crazy rich Asian" in a suit. I did joke around with my mom not having to go to medical school when she saw me play a doctor in various commercial print appearances. They were not enthused about modeling but were happy once I got a lucky break (just a hobby). Living in Taiwan for weeks at a time to visit relatives was empowering and gave a sense of normalcy, after living a lifetime feeling marginalized as a minority in Pittsburgh.

My nephew is interning with me this summer. I am encouraged by his interest in politics, economics, and sociology while still in high school, and moving to SF to hopefully attend Berkeley. The next generation is more active and vocal and also has more degrees of freedom than previous generations, so I agree that we need to pivot and move from a position of strength and visibility. Many people have a hard time squaring Asian Americans as victims due to the model minority myth, even though there are segments more vulnerable than others. The LAAUNCH surveys are an excellent way to capture longitudinal data that can complement and even contextualize data collected from hate crimes.

Thanks for putting this video together. I enjoyed seeing and hearing from everybody on the panel.

  7. Asian are not different then the rest. You where quited because you thought the white people see you as equall, till the racisme hit your community. Then you started to understand what the black community live through for centuries

  8. In memory of my neighbor Thailand of Africa descent brother friend that I've used to always have a conversation with use the word brother now that he passed on I've was always wondering why he used that word he want his people to come together 🤔😂😘❤️✌️🪔🛐🌹✝️🌹🦁🐟🐟🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🇺🇲🦅🗽

  9. Violent crimes have always been suffered mostly by non-white in the United States. I think the United States runs a tight ship of systematic racism. Unfortunately, Kamala is just a token as was Obama. Violent crimes against people of color were greatest under Obama and now with Kamala it's a known fact that Asians are suffering a high level of violent crimes against them.

  10. My concern is to express that justice for the victims must be swift to help them decrease the permanent effects of violent trauma.(I'm not a therapist. It's my opinion from my own experiences.)

  11. The Biden Administration has not helped the veterans the elderly and the disabled, they have not been put in a stimulus package for help , and most of them live off of less than $1,000 a month shame on you Biden Administration

  12. Hmmmm and how to organize boycotting any future movie that portrays Asians as the bad guys as a way to show awareness against the discrimination and inequities against Asians in the TV / movie industry 🤔. College adults will join the marches and push the boycotts, surely, it's just a matter of teaching out to them inviting them. And let's never leave behind organizational policies & legislative efforts.

  13. If Asian don't belong here and because of it go away, then they should be allowed to take the roads, houses, bridges, railroads, and infrastructure they and their ancestors built in the United States of America.
