  1. The Tesla has a feature that shows a visual and then an audio warning when your hands are not on the wheel. He could contest this in court. Though, people have figured out a way to trick the sensors on the wheel, so that the car’s warning doesn’t go off. It doesn’t seem like he had it rigged.

  2. That car is the new best bro, made blinkerd lane changes and even didint freak out and take the police on a high speed auto chase with the homie asleep!!!!

  3. One of the officers that's talking to him was making a sleep gesture, describing to bruh-bruh how he was slumped in his seat while behind the wheel

  4. Oh come on, just inattentive driving? Drivers are required to be in control of their vehicles at all times no matter what feature Musk puts in their cars, Musk doesn't create the law or give them their license. It's not just inattentive, it's intentionally shirking responsibility and becoming a danger to others. These spoiled entitled brats need to be arrested, with increasingly harsher sentences and jail time for repeat offenders.

  5. They could definitely use that auto-driving feature for workers in the oil fields who work 16 hours a day for 1-2 weeks straight. We used to have to drive 3-4 hours a day to go and return from each site up in North Dakota. That self -driving feature would have definitely been helpful for me when I dozed off at the wheel a couple of times. One of my co-workers died because he fell asleep while driving.

  6. ICE companies love this and are financially helping the press agencies to move their agenda forward. At least until they release their own autopilot, then we're not going to hear anything further on this.

Oh democracy why are you still dead? 😬

  7. Imagine this dude can't sleep at night and he was going to get help but fell asleep while going there. Just imagine.

  8. For anyone that actually owns a tesla knows that the auto pilot only drives for about 2-3 minutes until it starts asking for an input on the steering wheel. If you don't input anything, I about 30 seconds, it starts beeping loudly and eventually slows to a stop at about the 4th minute.

Now are there ways to cheat this? Unfortunately yes but even the methods used for cheating is not 100%. Not sure he was actually sleeping the entire time rather; he was just driving stupidly and closing his eyes in increments, relying too heavily on the autopilot.

  9. Race baiters please grow up. The squad lights were on even if your not seeing a reflection
Yes you can fall asleep behind the wheel of a Tesla. Do a you tube search.
Look at the middle officer as the guy left the car. The officer tilted his head like he was sleeping in response to the guy denying he was asleep. He didn't tilt his head that way cause cause the driver was black. If he even is black.

  10. Cop should have knocked on the window and said good moring house keeping im sorry did i wake you up no i didn't see the do not disturb sign

  11. I posted this as a reply, but posting here as well for visibility:

If he were actually asleep or inattentive, then he would not have IMMEDIATELY turned on his blinker and start to pull over, as we can see everything happen in sequence as there aren't any edits between everything I just mentioned. If they FOLLOWED him for 2 miles, then how are they able to see that he's asleep from being positioned behind his vehicle. As any law abiding driver does when a police vehicle gets behind them, they maintain proper speeds and waits for the vehicle to pass or pull them over and this looks exactly like what happens. They pull alongside him and given how he immediately pulls over, it's pretty certain that he was AWAKE and the officers in the vehicle gestured to him to pull over and he immediately does so.

We also don't see any reflections of flashing lights on the Tesla so gesturing to the attentive and awake driver is the only conclusion as to what actually happened here. He wasn't breaking any laws and if their lights aren't on, how is he supposed to know to pull over? This looks like a case of either pulling over a black driver, pulling over a Tesla, or a combination of the two. It's this kind of stupid stuff that gives good hardworking police officers a terrible reputation and sows distrust in the areas they are supposed to be serving.

  12. It appears as though the driver pulled over safely and in a timely fashion. And he was likely not asleep. He is however black.. This was not a stop that required three officers and he probably got cited not for inattention because that obviously wasn't clear from the very brief time that the officer was alongside him, but for driving while black. Seems like rather than try and pile onto negative press on a popular vehicle that the department should be looking at the probable cause for the vehicle stop and the response that it got.
