2. Vaccinating people in countries that already have high numbers of Covid-19 infection in order to attain herd immunity may be most challenging and costly method especially when other variants of Covid-19 keep popping up.

   Even if the number of people who get completely vaccinated reaches the herd immunity target, the frequent popping of Covid-19 variants would not truly make vaccines effective against all types of Covid-19 viruses. Just note how Israel which is the first country to have reached high numbers of vaccinated people and still is getting very high rate of Covid-19 cases per day relative to its population.

   Perhaps a good analogy of the Covid-19 pandemic is like a fire burning several houses in the middle of a city that is nearby a river; and firetrucks have not yet been invented. As many people were getting water from the river at a distance the fire spread to many other houses, and the fire became hard to contain. Now, the mayor and his people in the government held a meeting. After discussion, they agreed instead to request many people as they could to splash buckets of water on their own houses that are not yet on fire. What then happens next is that this agreement gets carried out, but the houses being burned were then being neglected.

   The houses burning may be like people who contracted Covid-19 who need cure while those houses not burning but being splashed on with buckets of water may be like people who have not contracted Covid-19 and are being vaccinated.
