At least 23 people were killed and 26 others were injured from shelling on a school and community center in Merefa, in northeastern Ukraine.

  2. The Scarred Children of the War

    Any war is horrific, but a war that involves civilian casualties is many times more so. Of these civilians, children are the most vulnerable. The war in Ukraine will scar its children and change them forever. Still, I believe that it will plant in them the conviction that war brings nothing good, and there is no way to justify the harm and pain that it inflicts.

    In the past, wars meant occupation, plundering of possessions, and enslavement of the captive. Today conquering another country has no benefits. What will you do once you have conquered the capital? You will have to rebuild it after having ruined it yourself.

    The advancement of technology and international commerce and industry have made war irrelevant as a means of obtaining supplies and wealth. Today, war is simply redundant, and I believe that today’s children sense this very deeply through their parents and through everything that they themselves are experiencing. The blasts, the blood, and the corpses on the street, the biting cold, the fear, and the uncertainty are injuring their souls, and they will pass the scars they carry on to their children and their children’s children.

    Even children who are not under an immediate threat of rockets and bombs are sensing what is happening. Humanity is a single body; when organs in that body fight against each other, the whole body suffers, and the whole body learns the lessons. Therefore, I hope the lessons that the children of the war are learning through pain will sink into the consciousness of all of humanity, and everyone, around the world, will understand and feel the futility of war.

    The next generation will feel that instead of fighting, they would be better off complementing each other's needs by trading. They will know that only through cooperation can they succeed in this world.

    The insights that today’s children are gaining are priceless. My only regret is that they are gaining them through pain. I wish that we could teach them this through simple education, but life has chosen a different mode of teaching for them.

    Still, if we can understand what reality is teaching us—that brute force no longer leads to victory, but rather collaboration and mutual complementation—without experiencing brute force firsthand, it will help us transition to a new state of mind where war is not part of the paradigm. It will help us, and it will help our children even more.

  13. Day dreaming only. USA has no idea how to stop Iraq war even after 21 years. Ukrane war just started. Russia has sent only 150000 troops to fight in ukrane. The remaining 2.5 million Russia troops are waiting for war. Russia only uses few jets in war. So, this war can develop in to a very unpredictable war soon or later.

  14. This is exactly what happened to start the second world war. Only this time the weapon of mass destruction is in both hands. Why punish the citizens of Russia. Don't underestimate the Russian Resolve that we owe everything to there unbelievable efforts in WW2.

  24. I agree The war in Ukraine must stop. For a while US has been threatening Germany EU with sanctions for dealing with Russia. new danger is taken place, US is taking complete control over the world big time. NATO is owned by the US already. Punishing Countries and people who have nothing to do with Putin's is cratering a new US modern Empire. That is dangerous. A lot of problems will follow 100% . China is next, they must protect their people. China should stop any business with US for a week. United Arab Emirates, is creating save heavens of Russian people specially the Rich once. That will kill its Western/US economy.

  26. Let's see, when the US killed over one million people in Iraq each time it invaded 1990 & 2003), well that is alright. Children slaughtered. But when Russia defends itself against word-breaking NATO and a puppet-Ukranian government, then that is EVIL! Hypocrites.

    Russia hasn't made much progress because they are trying to avoid civilian death. Trying to be careful, though errors are made. And it doesn't help when Ukrainian military is using civilians as shields to fight the Russian military. If Russian military didn't care about civilians, it could have easily destroyed every large city in Ukraine already.

    And, in case you don't know, Zelensky is an installed puppet.

Truly believe it would have been better to use military force against putin from the start then he could have left Ukraine and claimed a victory of his special operation and had a stable russia without all these Sanctions to go back to Now he is being Squeezed into a position whereby he will have nothing to loose by Full Blown War and using chemical and bioweapons because russia is in such an economical mess Unless someone Culls him
