Great reporting, but I think you missed some telling details. Was the ship in the channel? In the middle and of the south channel or off to a side? What were weather conditions on the bay at the time of grounding?

Have they considered that there may have been an (EarthQuake) Shifting upward of the Ground underneath the water that caused the water to be Shallow in an area they're used to being deeper??? I mean we are in a time where the earth is Shifting above sea-level and beneath.
All ships must allow special navigator/pilots/captain to board and pilot the vessel. The shouls move all the time. Only locals who have knowledge of the shouls current positions are approved to bring in the vessels to Baltimore. One pilot is a female. It seems like a great job! Unless,of course, you run aground.
