  1. In my opinion, if everything else about a movie is good (plot, characters, backstory, action), I can almost always overlook bad cgi in a film. I still would like to see practical effects over cgi 1s, but nowadays I go into pretty much every movie expecting there to be cgi at some point.

  3. Best on-set special effects go to Alec Baldwin and the cast of "Rust". Thanks to movie magic of the mainstream media, I truly believed Alec Baldwin didn't have a conscience. It was as if, he wasn't even acting..Talented guy, if not the greatest actor in the world..The scene when he fake-cried was better than anything Michael Keaton did in "Birdman", or any Mel Gibson rant..
