As Ohio reports nearly 12,000 new Covid-19 cases, the situation in the state’s hospitals is getting increasingly worse. Cleveland Clinic confirms it has 1,000 of its caregivers quarantining. NBC News’ Valerie Castro reports on how the clinic is coping with this massive hit to its staff.

Yup. Tomorrow is 3 weeks since election. 8-14 day incubation means cases started increasing a week or so ago (more if count early voting & cases starting increasing roughly 2 weeks after) & now those people are starting to be hospitalized. Every county eh? Funny that. People voting in every county 3 weeks ago.
It’s almost as if voting in person was bad idea.

My best friends husband has Covid19 & pneumonia. He also has cerebral palsy & she has been taking care of him herself.
My last grandparent passed away Saturday from complications of Covid19. (I live in IA, they are in KS) My mother emailed me one word 2hrs after they got to the ER Friday night. “Hospice”. I don’t know if she was too far gone (mom says her o2 was 70 when they took her in) or if they didn’t have the ICU beds.
My grandmother had survived since March by living with several of her kids, my dad & his sister created a 2 family bubble. Neither family had kids at home so she spent time at each home to help with the isolation. The only time she left the house (other than to travel to/from My dad’s or his sisters) was to vote.
Two of my mom sisters have Covid19. They’ve isolated at home sine March due to the younger one having type 1 diabetes. The older of my aunts is a retired RN & knows the precautions needed for their safety. She did all the grocery shopping etc..
The one thing that ties these two family together other than my parents marriage? They all vote conservative no matter what. Their president told them voting by mail was bad. So my RN aunt, against her better medical training, took her sister to vote in person. Kansas even allowed absentee voting due to health safety & Covid19.
I. Just. Can’t. Anymore.
They all shun me because I’m some leftist socialist who doesn’t go to church anymore.
