This is not a political issue for most people. It doesn't matter what administration was in charge.
People are weary of this vaccine for multiple reasons. How rushed it was, how this virus isn't a death sentence for 99% of the population…. And how it feels like it's being forced. Ticketmaster, an airline saying you have to have gotten the vaccine before a concert or travel? That's the crap that people's scared of.

Companies have been working on a vaccine for 8-9 months with no vaccine and now all of a sudden there are four of them (3 in US/West Europe and one in Russia) that in just the past 15 days, come out with news that their vaccines work and state their "effective rates". I can understand one coming out with a vaccine, and then 5 weeks another, and then maybe 6 more weeks before another, etc. But four in 15 days (although not sure I can even count Russia)? Not to mention there has never been a vaccine for any of the previous 6 coronaviruses and it usually takes 8-9 years for a successful vaccine, with the record being just over 4 years. I understand there are a lot more companies, agencies, and organizations that have been working on this compared to past viruses, but still.
