No clue who either of those people are but who the hell could not see that was all staged, that was a "Hollywood" slap if I've ever seen one. It did not even make a noticeable slapping noise even with the mic 6 inches away. Look at the exaggerated movements and the angle the slappers hand takes after the "slap". I am not sure of what a world we are living in! Chris Rock made fun of Jada, the wife of Will Smith, while she lost her hair due to a rare disease, Alopecia. Chris made fun of Jada’s ‘hairstyle’. Is this not a cruel, dirty assault by Chris Rock on a woman who is suffering from a disease?
I am surprised by the reaction by the public that Will Smith was wrong in reacting to Chris’s nasty joke, which also was not in the script. I firmly support Will Smith and even though Chris did not show the other cheek to Will Smith, he should have slapped on the other cheek as well.

These award shows shouldn't allow comedians to be so aggressive with their content, and should be asked to keep it light , and therefore this is where they bare responsibility, if a comedian can't be funny at these award shows without being insulting then they shouldn't host.
First of all, the Academy isn't going to take Smiths' Oscar away. If they didn't take away Harvey Weinstein's, they're certainly not going to take away HIS. Besides, he's their cash cow. Exactly when did all this dawn on him…after his agent and publicist finally had a chance to sit him down and snap him back to reality? And by the way, he was at an Actors Roundtable discussion years ago where he goes on and on about how "violence begets violence" and he says that "violence cannot be the answer".
