Hoarders: Glen & Lisa | A&E

A collection of 2500 free-roaming rats have hoarded Glen out of his home and into a shed on his property. Originally bred as pets, the rat collection spun out of control upon the death of his wife. Now Glen needs help removing the animals so he can return home, but he has insisted that they be saved and adopted out. Lisa has hoarded her father’s house both inside and out. More than 30 cats roam freely through the clutter and he is threatening to evict her and her pets. Lisa will not be allowed back in until she cleans the house, and gets rid of her dozens of animals. #Hoarders

Hoarders not only captures the drama as experts work to put each hoarder on the road to recovery but also highlights the individual’s inner challenges and triumphs. Although cleaning marks the first step of tackling this disorder, success is not definite. At the end of each episode we’ll find out who has been able to keep their hoarding behavior under control and who has fallen into the deep end of this painful disease.

  1. I know this guy has grief issues, but honestly, he and that cat hoarder lady REALLY needed to hook up.
Poor guy has to be in denial if he thinks they are seriously going to take those rats to be adopted. Maybe a few, but most are going to be euthanized, used in medical experiments, or given to cats. They spread disease and these experts know that. Even if this is an old episode.

  2. Just seen article where he was murdered 5 yrs ago.. bound and tied and hit in his head at his home(his sanctuary)😰😪.. prayerfully they have found his killer.. that's sad.May he continue to rest peacefully with his wife🙏🙏🙏

  3. RIP Glen
Detectives believe the 59-year-old’s kindness may have led to his killing last year, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Capt. Steve Katz told reporters Wednesday, as the department announced a $20,000 reward in the homicide.

Brittner owned a local water business, and one of his employees found him at home on Aug. 18, 2015, his hands and feet bound with zip ties. He had been hit with a blunt object, and the home in the 26200 block of East Avenue W-8 had been ransacked.

Brittner remained in a coma for 10 days until he died.

  4. Glen reminds me of the Rat King from that old TMNT cartoon, lol! On a somber note, real sorry to hear he lost his wife to a heart attack at such a young age (which is why he ended up taking to the rats).

  5. I think I saw male ones at Petco today. I had taken my dog to get groomed and I was watching like three of them running around on a wheel.
