“They – the NYPD” are “LYING”. It was a hispanic or immigrant man, a manager of a nearby business, that had to go up to a police officer and “ask the Police officer to go up and question Frank James”. The NYPD didn’t have a clue who he was. Frank James could have walked right by the NYPD officers without incident. This immigrant man/manager was the one to arrest Frank James, not the NYPD..trying to take credit for the arrest. They’re too cheap to give a reward and they want all the credit for themselves.

Law enforcement did NOT capture him. He literally called the "tips" hotline on himself and told them he'd be at a McDonald's in the east village. They went and found him near there.

Frank James wanted to be caught. It seems saying it and doing it are two different things. He may have felt sickened by his own actions when he called crime stoppers on himself. Later, he left out McDonald to accept his arrest without resistance. If he wanted to continue 'prophet of doom' mode; he could have been dangerous at other locations as well.
This was quite strategic if you ask me. He’s a homeless man with some sort of a mental illness. I believe he chose to find a permanent residency with three meals a day a bed to sleep in and this is his way of doing it for the rest of his days. I’m sorry for all the injured people.
