See, if NY was one of the FREE states thar allows constitutional carry, a US citizen with a concealed carry weapon could have taken the terrorist out BEFORE he shot so many people. Plus, hopefully he would be dead, so that he can never do this again. Nope, NY and other states like you that have such strict gun control measures, you make yourselves a TARGET for criminals and terrorists. Think about it: if yiu were going to strike somewhere, would it be in an area where people are strong on self defense and you may die before you complete your mission, or is it somewhere where people are weak on defense and nothing will probably happen?? I agree with the lady about the Civil War. Tragic as it was, it still DID occur and covering it up or acting like it didn't exist does nothing. And why are people allowing the monuments to be taken down? It's not a celebration of the fact. It's a reminder that history can read itself if we're not careful, and it helps to focus people's attention on that fact so that it doesn't. Taking down the monuments is akin to a CHILD hiding the candy that they stole. You stole the candy, it happened, why are you hiding it??
