As a baby, Tyler Graf had been stolen and placed for adoption as part of a government sanctioned plot in Chile. He is now on a journey to reconnect with his biological mother.

What’s weird is this kid had a whole ass childhood, teenage life, and part of an adult life without realizing he was a human trafficking victim. That’s a terrifying thought.. there’s probably thousands of there who don’t even know they’re human trafficking victims.
The Pinochet government came to power through “the school of the americas. The American government plotted a military by coup to overthrow “Salvador Allende”, the president at the time, because he was a socialist. That order came through during Richard Nixon’s term.
This is a sad story, but also kinda the fault of the then American governments interference in a foreign country.

Most of these babies and children come from poor countries so instead of helping families take care of these children they sell them to adoption agencies for profit and typically to white families with money.
It's so sad because he was stolen from his mom

The manner in which Tyler's mother holds him dearly is just heartbreaking to see considering what she went through all these years she thought he was dead. There are definitely more cases like hi outhere waiting to hopefully be discovered. I am glad Tyler has been reunited with his biological family. The way his other mother shows so much love for him reminds me of my mother.

I can identify with him. Also adopted and reunited with my birth family. I'm happy he took the time to search and find them. It for me completed a missing piece of a hole that I had in my heart.

As a parent the one of the worst things that can happen is someone stealing your child and telling you that they are dead, this is a hole in a parent's heart that cannot be filled along with unanswered questions on how this happened any why but this has happened more often then people know and in almost every country of the world.
So very sad, I hope that he can make them ALL pay for what they stole from him , his mother & the whole family.

Stealing babies, illegal adoptions and child trafficking is common all over South America, not just during Pinochet's regime. Usually involves military juntas or criminal gangs.
