krasner is throwing the book at this officer, his sticking point being the office knew the kid was unarmed after the kid fired shots into the unmarked police car, & the officer charged told another cop that the kid threw his gun. ok, so what? who is krasner to ASSUME that the office absolutely knew that the kid didn't have another gun on him? unless krasner can prove the officer absolutely knew the kid had no weapons, and how can he guess what's on someone else's mind, it seems like he has no case.

This cop spokesman says 40 ft is a long ways several car lengths and several parking spot lengths. A standard parallel parking spot is 20 ft long. So the shooter had only discarded that gun two car lengths before officer Mendoza caught up with him. 40 ft is not far at all. And the cop spokesman says the shooter was essentially on his face when officer Mendoza came up to him but then he said he was doing a push-up and turning around to look at the cop. Where is the body cam footage from officer Mendoza? Sounds to me like the police department are hanging officer Mendoza out to dry. When somebody is shooting at you you don't stop and think, "hmm, is this shooter a child?"
A shooter is a shooter and that bullet will not discriminate.
If those charges are true, stated by the DA that officer Mendoza shot a 12yrs old boy in the back while he was laying on the ground, that is legally defined as EXECUTION.

The prosecution is stating that Mendoza "knew the child was unarmed because he threw the emptied firearm on the ground while fleeing". Really? Throwing an empty gun on the ground means you are officially unarmed now? Pat downs are no longer needed. Oh, and the potential fully loaded 2nd gun he's going to put a few through your chest with around the corner? Don't worry about that.

don't know what happened but can say for sure if my invention of a 3 memory stick camera system was used all people could be sure the truth would come out . 1 is kept by uniformed officer to defend them self against false charges 2nd is given to chief so they can view what happened at any time on any shift and a locked place it is put in after every shift 3rd is put in a separate locked safe they have no access to and only viewed in public trial if needed . think of the time and money no longer waisted if both sides knew the planting of evidence wouldn't work anymore and if shooting, better be the right thing too do . most of all is that it could not be turned off and on at will by the officers. stop helping the jim crow law of bail as it seems to be nothing but bribes to courts .
