30. How did he enter the school if he wasn’t a student.? Fortifying schools should use the same protocols as prisons, bank vaults, airplanes, nuclear power plants, and military bases. Not only scanners and identification verification but also generous cavity searches background checks, and perimeter patrols. With mass shootings so common place, the integrity of a school’s security is far more important than the educational component. The focus should not be learning so much as keeping students alive.
