18. Those that oppose gun control are the ones to blame for these horrible crimes. Instead of accepting this, gun lobbyists would rather cite the 230 year old 2nd ammendment law. The 2nd ammendment is now 2 centuries outdated, and there should be an amendment to the 2nd ammendment that takes into account modern weapons, and modern social norms. America needed the second ammendment 230 years ago, today strict gun controls are needed to prevent tragedies like the Texas school shooting this week. America's demise is a direct result of those clinging to 230 year old philosophy that makes absolutely zero sense today. Mass shooting will continue, and probably get worse, until this country has the courage to rewrite the 230 year old 2nd ammendment to reflect today's society. Today, I fear America has become its own worse enemy, because it's citizens don't have the courage, the wisdom and the willingness to enact changes for a changing society.
