  1. In the first six months of 2022, the Republican-led state of Louisiana’s per capita rate of mass shootings is nearly six times the national average.

  2. Less guns not more. Only bad can come of this. Kent State should be enough to teach anyone that guns don't belong on campuses. Also a gun can be stolen, it can be mishandled which has already happened (only sheer luck that it wasn't a fatality) There are so many ways for this to go horribly wrong and they all result in someone being seriously injured or killed. More guns make our Schools our streets and our lives less safe.

  3. I hope they are aware that once they accept being armed, they become accountable and responsible for those kids lives if anything happens.

  4. Because those overworked and under-paid teachers aren't doing enough right now…? They don't have enough to worry about?

  5. They brought armed security guards into schools after sandy hook and it did nothing just caused more trouble, resulted in more injuries and lawsuits for schools. They already did this! when will they learn this isn’t enough!

  6. Good idea look over 300 million guns in US already half probably illegal and a big guns black market. Why do you think there’s more guns and violence in cities like Chicago and Los Ángeles anti gun states than other places. The black market if you have the money you can get anything you want

  7. When will they learn? Putting gun in the hands of teachers is a stupid idea the only thing that does is.creat anouther way a student can attack, all a kid would have to so is catch the teacher off guard and disarm the teacher, and this is only one reason its a bad idea I could list at least a sozon more. IDIOTS

  8. Lol, good luck getting a bathroom pass now. Are these the same teachers the republicans think are indoctrinating and corrupting their children??

  9. This is a very good idea and nobody is forcing any teachers who "don't like guns" to carry them. Let the teachers who appreciate the value of being your own armed first responder have them and the others are under no obligation. Perhaps even let parents request their kids either be in an armed classroom or an unarmed one. Everyone will be safer because of this.

  10. As a teacher I will tell you now that my credential does not include firearms and shooting anyone. I think this is totally stupid and legislators should stay after school till they learn that it's the
guns that cause the shootings and the guns need to go.
