  1. think the reason the queen did not show up because the palace was concerned she will be booed,this. Is 70 years of oppression by the British empire around the world starting with her father king George and Churchill or even before her time enslaving and plundering many countries especially south Africa and actively supporting Apartheid there the UK was one of the few countries that had full diplomatic presence with SA that's where all the billions came from and she she was front and center in all the decisions they were made
