Lets harken back to the time when Bernie Sanders gave that speech telling his followers to do things like fight this government tooth and nail, which motivated one of his followers to do a mass shooting on Republican politicians. I'm not saying Bernie should have been charged with sedition, but what he did meets the definition more than what Trump did. Trump said "Peacefully march to the capitol". He's not responsible for what these rioters did. Most of them were not rioters, but for the ones who got violent, Trump cannot be held responsible for their actions.
