Instead of plowing money into expensive drilling projects, the oil-and-gas industry is focused on returning cash to shareholders. "It's not the government that is banning them from drilling more. It's pressure from their shareholders," said Molchanov.

If Republicans take back congress it will never happen, in fact prices will probably drop overnight after they take back control of congress, so they will say there is no need to investigate them. I don’t buy gas anymore. I have an electric car. I have solar panels and wind generated electric feeding my house to supplement electricity coming from Duqusne lights system. I suggest everyone reading this does the same.
