  1. If you want union then find a company that are unionized and apply for employment there. Don’t work at a non union company then complain that there’s no union, not fair, not right…😭

  2. That's what unions are for, at the very least, since they haven't exactly built a stellar reputation for saving jobs over the years. They (unions) should at least be counted on to inform employees about pending layoffs and any arrangements they may have worked out with the employer on severance packages, which affected employees can temporarily fall back on until they get back on their feet again. Alas, some big name companies fight their employees on the mere prospect of unionizing.
