  1. I thought getting on a plane in the US with Marijuana was still illegal on a Federal Level, so shouldn't she be tried again once she gets back to the states. All the research I did on the matter led me to stay clear from bringing my medication to another state even if legal in that state, I will buy some there or use pain killers if illegal there. I sure wouldn't get anyone going oh free him he didn't know it was against the law, they would say ignorance of the law is no excuse and prosecute me anyways so why should anyone feel sorry for her? She made the choice, she gets to deal with the consequences, maybe stay home next time instead of being greedy to make money off a foreign country that doesn't even hold any the values she supposedly believes in but I guess money is more important than her values. I can't feel sorry for someone that can't live off 200k a year and then gets busted for being a dumb ass, take any non-athlete/famous person and put in same situation probably never hear about it.

  2. Why the heck would someone want to go to Russia ? And I don't buy the "Oops" I forgot excuse. You are going to a Totalitarian dictatorship, and you leave some dope in your suitcase ?

  3. the CIA has no law enforcement function and is officially mainly focused on overseas intelligence gathering, with only limited domestic intelligence collection.
I think Russian officials should release Ms Griner after the WNBA All Star game is over!

  4. If I was Putin I wouldn’t Exchange for her you do the crime you do the time & how are you going to release her first & you have other Americans over there that been locked up before her. That seems unfair to me

  5. For all the opportunities and greatness this country allows any individual to have and become, not wanting to do the bare minimum of having the U.S national anthem sang at your games, is an act of treason on my watch. They can keep her.

  6. If she has been playing on a team in Russia on the off season of the United States, she knows the laws on this matter. We want everyone who comes here to obey the law, the same should be expected everywhere we go around the world.

  7. If you don’t understand why it’s a big deal I will try to explain.

Yes in Russia, cannabis in any form is illegal. It is also illegal to travel with it. However, their law states that a person possessing less than 6 grams of cannabis or two grams of hash (smaller allowance due to higher THC content) can be fined or jailed for up to 15 days.

She was in possession of 0.702 grams and at this point she’s been held for 5 months. That’s why it’s unlawful detainment and the US gov is involved. She is also not the only unlawfully held US citizen in Russia, China, and Iran currently.

Her legal team advised her to plead guilty in hopes of a lesser sentence by showing she accepts responsibility for possessing the vape cartridges.

  8. She’s lying and they know it. She played basketball in Russia for years, she knew the laws, she knew she was breaking the law and did not care. She has no respect for her own country or Russias laws either. Putin is not going to put up with that kind of disrespect in his country from a American fool who broke the law in Russia and got caught.

  9. Contact BLM and organize a Trip to Russia for a "Peaceful Protest March" on the Behalf of Griner criminal activities
PUTIN is a Reasonable Guy and will be completely Understanding 🤣👌

  10. His pleasure. Right. In Russia, it doesn’t take much to get in trouble. We have strict possession of drugs laws as well. But — thank you for the additional information on her case. The State Department can negotiate a deal. Rev. Al Sharpton says he plans on going there as a mission to check on Brittany Griner as well. I hope so. Once… she’s done with that, she can write a story about it all. Why not?.🙏Prayers to her there in prison and her family back home. Yup that’s it from southern Colorado Thanks. 🌻🙏💙🇺🇸

  11. This is the same woman that refused to stand for the National Anthem in her own country yet sends a letter to the President when incarcerated in a Russian prison mentioning July 4th, how she used to celebrate the holiday and honor her former relative's participation in an American war. A convicted Russian arms dealer in exchange for a pothead…..wonderful, what a bargain. America thanks Brittney Griner for helping to release this dangerous international criminal so she could vape some dope in Russia. Paul Whelan can rot I guess, we want the 8 foot tall anti-American lesbian pothead. She had no 'intention' of breaking Russian law….derp. Two questions, is it her luggage, did she pack the luggage?

  12. THE USA SHOULD BE HANDS-OFF! NO NEGOCIATIONS! SO SIMPLE SHE IS TAKING IT, SHE BRINGS IT, WHY DO WE NEED TO HELP HER OUT! WHAT IS FAIR IS TO HELP OUT THOSE WHO NEEDED HELP AND WERE CONVICTED WRONGFULLY! SHE BRINGS IT TO HERSELF! SO WHAT IF SHE IS WNBA PLAYER? AGAIN SHE BRINGS IT TO HERSELF! USA HANDS OFF!

  13. Most people don’t have intentions of breaking any law. It still happens. If you are that important to others, shouldn’t you be aware of basic personal laws when working in another country. I work in Thailand and I know if I chew gum on the street I can get a ticket. That is their law. Drugs are not condoned in 90% of the world. Don’t sound so ignorant just to gain sympathy. You’re a college grad, use your head.

  14. Russia apparently has a problem with same sex couples. How is the media helping by constantly showing that she is in a same sex couple?

  15. 25 years in a russian prison should take care of the problem. For some reason, Putin doesn't like americans right now. mmmm, not sure why?????

  16. She needs to own up to smuggling a large amount of cannabis and stop lying. That may help her. Otherwise, see you in 2032, maybe.
