1. Pick a narrative. Are the Republicans suddenly wanting "Big government spending", or "Government handouts?" simply because the party of the president changes? Consistent logic that isn't merely ad hominem would be fantastic.
2. The ROI on ending the war more quickly in Ukraine's favor is a no-brainer. The war is hurting the global economy. The only solution is ending it. And it's in our interests that Russia loses.
3. This isn't new money. This is part of the lend-lease already enthusiastically agreed to by both parties because it is an excellent idea and in our interests. What did you think would happen? Did you expect Biden to suddenly go "Eh, nevermind" afterwards?
4. The money IS investment. The money is being used to purchase things that are manufactured by the US (yes, and others, because duh). It's not going into a shredder.
5. If you expect perfection before doing anything, then nothing will ever happen. There is an abundance of oversight.
