They are sitting targets in the middle of the ocean. The days of WWII are over. It is a matter of time before one of these aircraft careers gets hit by barrage of GPS guided cruise missiles and drones, just like the Russian flagship and tanks got destroyed in the Ukraine war. However, the U.S. Navy is filled with career administrators more interested in advancing their careers and pandering to military contractors. The billions of dollars spent on aircraft careers has created many jobs and made some people very rich in the United States. Why let a good thing go? There is so much money involved.

  28. This is good news for the West because it will give us the opportunity to find ways to down them and learn about Iran's technology and their capabilities.
    Let them send the drones, there are few surprises in store for them once they arrive. The may have been a threat 20 years ago but not sure they will be able to fly with our jamming technology.
    Still if Russia wants to wast more precious money on showing its people its trying to do something to slow the death rate of their Soldiers, I guess this is it.
