How have we not learned from numerous previous incidents? At the FIRST SIGN of a possible mental health issue that could lead to violence, get the person appropriate intervention! How did this young man slip through the cracks? And how were proper safety protocols not in place at the school? Not that this excuses the cowardice of Uvalde police..but prevention is everything. My heart breaks for the familes. 💔
What of the children that were calling 911 operators asking for help? These 911 calls were coming in while officers were milling around inside the school. There is a report that the shooter was not bullied, rather he bullied others, that he started fights. There needs to be an investigation on how this young man was able to buy so much ammunition when there’s a limit on purchases, limit on supplies. The shooter was able to buy a huge supply of ammunition in less than a week (he’d just turned 18). How was this shooter able to purchase guns, rifles, and ammunition in such a short time? Where did shooter get the money to be able to purchase all the armament come from? Where did he buy the guns, rifles and ammunition?
Look at all those cops running around, looking like they are doing something…. The cowards did not even think "huh there are windows to that room, why don't we try that and see of we can use it to get in or snipe the suspect". Truly disgusting display of cowardice and incompetence.
The sad and scary thing about all this is it can happen again. It’s happened many times before this and it can be our home town next.
340 to 350 of the officers were either outside doing nothing or holding parents back
Hopefully one of the Feds that was there will spill the beans and admit it was an active shooter drill dressed up as a real shooting 😳

Cowardice In cases like this should be a criminal charge. You don’t put on the badge or uniform if you’re not prepared to pay the ultimate price and do what’s necessary, period. Body armor and so much fire power and they stood there like pussies.
Being different in a place like Uvalde can cause a child a lot of distress. Where were the adults who were supposed to be there for him? Where were those with some understanding? The people in and out of schools to let him know that he is safe.
At least one of those council members contributed to a culture of bullying and othering. Investigators need to be looking into those council members
Uvalde is a small town with the same problems as any where else. To those parents affected by this disgusting act on the part of all involved in the loss of your children. Fight your way into leadership positions and train up the children in the way they should go. Be the best things that ever happened to Uvalde. It is time for change!
This is not me saying that shooting up a class full of kids is ok. It is not!
The state government of Texas is oblivious to the desperate need of human services its people have. We could only play "what if" to the many things that perhaps could have changed if Texas would invest in its people. Instead of just hardening of schools, or LE.
I saw all the cops with guns running, looking like they were doing something, but at the end they did not confront the shooter right away.
3rd world education and police. The shooter was crying out for help but he was left out like a rabid animal by the school and parents. Stop having kids if you don’t want the responsibilities
These cowards need to lose their jobs at the least and really go to jail. Hold them accountable!
