The gangland gun violence is something most Canadians cringe at the thought of, and weve learned to live with it. Accepting law enforcements lack of ability to do much about it, because it generally just affects those involved in criminal activity. That doesnt do much for the loved ones, who arent, that suffer, and anyone who may just be at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
But random murderous rampages, with psychotic, sociopathic behavior at the helm?
This was quite a shock this morning, particularly for those of us who live in the Lower Mainland.
My condolences to the lost souls.
My respect to the actions of law enforcement as well.

I live in Coquitlam, BC, Canada and I woke up to the scary EAS (emergency alert notification) on my iPhone just after 6 this morning. I went from being fast asleep to being fully awake and reaching for my phone within seconds. I was worried it was something worse such as a nuclear attack, but this is still awful.

I live only a 15 minute drive away in Surrey. I was there around Langley last night for sis' birthday. My friend from school was serving us dinner by the Indigo bookstore. A few hours later, the shooter started carrying out his attacks. Was scared that my friend may have gotten into the crossfire. Glad this lunatic didn't kill any more people, considering how busy an area it is. But RIP to all the victims of this terrible shooting!
